What is a Card ID?
To protect your credit card information credit card companies have added an additional set of numbers that are not captured on paper slips. This keeps someone from being able to use your credit card number when they only have a printed slip in their possession. For this reason they require that we gather the Card ID.

Visa Card ID A 3-digit, non-embossed number printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately following the Visa card account number. This number is recorded as an additional security precaution. |

Amex Card ID A 4 digit, non-embossed number printed above your account number on the face of your card. This number is recorded as an additional security precaution. |
